FLUGR

Last month the new forum site of FLUGR (Flex Usergroup) was also released and is now reachable at the url http://flugr.org. This forum is mostly directed to the European market, but of course anyone can join, add questions or respond to questions there. At this moment we are working hard to get the website for the usergroup online, but this might still take a few days. At first the usergroup itself will be directed to the dutch audience but like the forum, we want to go a little wider and see that we can get a more international audience to join.

Planning for now is to have our first member meeting somewhere in June and so far a few great Flex speakers have commited themselves already to speaking there, more info on that as soon as there are some final details known. We want to direct the usergroup to a technical audience first, so developers and the usergroup will cover Flex, Air, Blaze, ColdFusion and all technology they can talk to or interact with, at this point that is mostly Java on a back end and Flex for a front end application. We'll be able to give you some more information on using Spring and Hibernate with Flex and how to connect your data services directly with Spring beans and to connect directly to your database from Flex only using data services and Hibernate.
