ColdFusion 8 Updater 1

Yesterday ColdFusion 8 Updater 1 was released by Adobe and they do ask all customers to update to this version. Big updates in this version are 64 bit support for more different operating system types. This will help companies running on 64 bit operating systems and a lot of fixes in existing tags. Next in the update is that ColdFusion now supports Sun Java SE JDK 6 Update 3, version 1.6.0_03.

This new update can be downloaded at Adobe.com

There are also some changes to the AJAX functions in ColdFusion and some CF syntax changes. One of these changes is now CF supports the nesting of structures and arrays with the next syntax. a=[[1,2],[3,4],[5,6,7],{a=2}] And there are quite a few improvements to cfDocument and cfPDF. Of course also a lot of bugs were fixed so if you run CF8 you might want to consider updating to updater 1.
